The Five Main Areas of Spiral Healing
There are five main areas in spiral healing: that determine how well we form our behaviour, which are important to understand both in terms of breaking ‘bad patterns’ and creating ‘good patterns’. These are: –
1. Repetitive Thoughts
The thoughts that we keep replaying in our heads
2. Deep Beliefs
Deeply ingrained unconscious beliefs that we think are true
3. Strong Emotions
The feelings or perspective we associate with something we experience
4. Powerful Words
The words we use to describe or communicate our experience
5. Inspired Action
The action or behaviour we demonstrate in any given time

How the Spiral Works…
Often, the five stages of the Spiral form a neurological loop. i.e., repetitive thoughts affect our beliefs. Deep beliefs affect our emotions. Strong emotions affect our words. Powerful words affect our actions or behaviour. Finally, actions strung together create our Life! In turn, any outcome can then affect our thoughts, and so the spiral keeps on turning…
Of course, the spiral can go up and go down the other way too! But more often than not it all starts with one simple thought!

An Example of a Negative Spiral
An example might be when you keep thinking you can’t achieve success or that you’ll never have enough money. Eventually, after repeating this thought over and over it becomes a deep unconscious belief that you’ll never succeed or have enough. This is when you start feeling low and not trusting yourself. You might question your ability or wonder if you are enough or even feel like a failure in some way.
As you continue spiralling down, you might find yourself talking in scarcity terms and saying things out loud like “I never have enough money” or “I’m always skint”. Or even putting yourself down in front of others for not being where you want to be or not having enough money. This in turn, might cause you to act or behave from a position of lack or in a self-sabotaging way that actually helps make your fears become a reality.
In this headspace, we start looking for all the things that have gone wrong, or we don’t have, rather than residing in a space of gratitude. And then, of course, to top it all off, if the outcome is negative, it reinforces those initial negative thoughts, which perpetuates the whole cycle all over again… You can see how it can become a very limiting, negative vicious cycle which really can bring anyone down quite quickly.
An example of a Positive Spiral
On the other hand (if deep down), you think you deserve success, and you believe you can attract the wealth you desire. Your emotions, words, and actions will shift to reflect this, and so will your behaviour, which, in turn, will align to help you achieve your goals. I call this helpful Spiral Healing. Rather than spiralling downwards, we start spiralling back up!
Of course, just like we can develop good habits or bad habits, we can have good repetitive thoughts, or bad repetitive thoughts. Or we can have helpful deep beliefs or unhelpful deep beliefs. Likewise, we can have healthy, strong emotions or unhealthy, strong emotions. And we can have inspiring, powerful words or damaging, powerful words.
Last but not least, we can have positive inspired action, or negative action. The areas of the Spiral are neither good nor bad themselves; it depends entirely upon the energy we instil within them. The choice is always ours.
We can try and break a negative spiral at any stage, but in my experience, the easiest way is to start at the beginning by becoming an observer on our own internal monologue and changing the way we actually think…
